So the grade 4 project is on birds and Kristen picked the dodo bird. We started out not knowing much at all about the dodo bird but now we all know more than we ever wanted to know about the dodo bird. Part of the project was to write a poem or song so Kristen decided on a song and with the help of her dad this is what they came up with. Enjoy.PS the picture above has no copyright on it since it is so old a drawing. We are allowed to use it.
To the tune of
“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”
Dodo dodo dodo bird
You’re extinct haven’t you heard
You ate berries and some fish
Then you ended on a dish.
You weren’t used to seeing men
So you thought they were your friends.
When you got so very close
they turned you into a roast
And because you couldn’t fly
There’s no refuge in the sky
So they caught you left and right
Then began your final fight
When the humans left the land
They left behind some dogs and ham
But the ham it had some legs
And it trampled all your eggs
And soon there were no more of you
That’s your story sad but true…..
Dodo dodo dodo bird
You’re extinct haven’t you heard.

Dear Kristen,
That was a very good song. I also did a project on the dodo bird last year so I really liked your song.

Dear Kristen,
That was a funny song. I love the gocart. It's very fun. It goes very fast. I lost a tooth on Thursday after school.

Hi Kristen. I'd say that song is worth an A+!
Miss you!
Lobe the song K-dog. (Kristen)-- that was just me trying to be cool. Still it was great and I love how you chose a Mozart song to put it to. You're my hero.
awww, the dodo bird is dead. tear. See you soon.

Kristen,
You are too funny; you and that crazy dad of yours. I love the song. Next time I see you, you will have to sing it to me.
