Hope you have a great day!
This week we have been have lots of fun. We have a grade 11 student from the high school living with us for the week. Her parents are in South America and we offered to have her come stay with us for a week. The kids have been enjoying having her around and she has been a great guest. This week Jacob is taking care of 2 cats and 1 large bearded dragon lizard not at our house thank goodness. Last night we went over and fed the lizard live meal worm. Gross, tonight he gets live crickets and lettuce. Yum!!
Last night we had Len and Phylis, Katelyn and Junea (Brazil exchange student) over for dinner. The kids all sat in the dining room with the good china and adults ate in the kitchen. The kids thought that was fun!!
The skating rink in the backyard is smooth as ice, oh right it is ice. The kids are ice skating every day after school and sometimes late into the night.
Since we have no cable television and we haven't had it for years we have been renting the first series of 24 Hours. It's great not to have to wait for commercials and we don't have to wait a week to see the next show. I think we are hooked.
Friday is the big ball room dance party. Jacob is getting dressed up and they are having a junk food table and a table of food that has more sophisticated food. I wonder which one will get finished first? I will do my best to take a picture of Jacob dancing with Lilly and a real girl. Friday is the last day of electives. Melissa took etiquette and modelling and was able to get her hair cut last weekend as part of the class. They both have had alot of fun with electives this year.
Kristen was chosen to say her speech at speechfest. She had the best mark in her class.
Well that just some bits and bites of our life. Hope you have a great day!! and for those of you in Southern Ontario Ha ha ha WE GOT IT LAST WEEK AND YOU CAN HAVE IT THIS WEEK!!

I am sooooo excited that you guys are now into 24! It's the only show that Jay and I keep up with religiously. Last year, we were in the middle of watching one episode when I started having contractions!! We always joke that it was such a pivotal moment that Annika needed to see the rest of the episode for herself!! :)
I agree with your weather comment. Isn't it nice to see all of these weather warnings and to know for once our area isn't on the list to get hit?!
Sounds like lots of fun up in Barrie! The girls are very much looking forward to coming March break and when I tell them you have a skating rink they will be THRILLED!!!!
Kristen how exciting that you made it into speechfest, maybe you can write us and tell us all about it. Congratulations, Grandma and Grandpa are very proud of you and know that you will do well at speechfest and of course we hope you win. With love Grandma and Grandpa W.
I am wondering how come no one is working on their blog anymore. I check nearly everyday and things are not changing, I guess you are all too busy and I am not, and have time to look often. Looking forward to some more news on the blog. With love from mom W.
